Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Scheme
Generally modelled on the voluntary scheme, the mandatory Continuing Professional Development ("CPD") scheme will be implemented with the commencement of the first 3-year cycle on 1 July 2023. All registered physiotherapists, regardless of which parts of the Register their names are in and whether they are residing in Hong Kong, are subject to the mandatory CPD scheme. Registrants are required to attain at least 45 CPD points (of which at least 23 CPD points are required to be attained from core CPD activities) in each 3-year cycle, with a minimum of 5 CPD points in each year during the cycle. At the time when a cycle is about to end, registered physiotherapists are required to declare their CPD attainment. Registrants are requested to visit this website from time to time to check for latest updates and requirements of the mandatory CPD Scheme.
